Question 26
SSC-CGL 2020 Mar 3 Shift 2

If 2sinθ - 6√3tanθ + 5 = 0, then the value of (tan2θ + cos2θ) is?

Solution in Short

The best way is to attempt a guess with some acute angles. One angle that satisfies this equation is θ = 30°. So (tan2θ + cos2θ) becomes (tan 60° + cos 60°) = √3 + 1/2 answer!
